In addition to the many housing developments popping up around Third Street between Yosemite Ave and Carroll Ave, the coming months are looking to bring even more activity to the Bayview-Hunters Point community. Among this activity is a barrage of new businesses filling the ground floor retail spaces of several of the developments. Among these businesses are a Crossroads Cafe run by the non-profit and San Francisco staple organization, Delancey Street, Fresh & Easy Supermarket (the first new supermarket in the Bayview in over 50 years!), and, just announced today, the infinitely popular local Latino fusion restaurant, Limon!
This is big news for the Bayview community and, recognizing this, the developer of 5800 Third Street is planning a major celebration next Wednesday, October 27th, between 11am – 1pm, with former Mayor Willie Brown as the Master of Ceremonies ushering in a new era for the neighborhood and its residents.
Here’s an excerpt from the invitation sent out earlier today:
After 10 years of hard work, vision, and investment, the Bayview has finally arrived at CARROLL STATION. Discover San Francisco’s newest neighborhood as we prepare to welcome 1,000 new residents over the coming year, including mixed income and senior housing, new restaurants, groceries, parks, and the King pool.
For those interested in attending the event, it will take place at 5800 Third Street next Wednesday in the middle of the day and you can RSVP HERE.
